Fence Repair & Storm Damage — what that involves

Repair when repair is right

A section replacement often beats a full run. We say so even though the bigger job pays better, because the alternative is a customer who does not call again.

Storm and wind damage

Blown-down panels, snapped posts and leaning runs after a valley windstorm. Assessed on site, then repaired or replaced with the reasoning explained.

Post repair and resetting

Rot at ground level is the most common failure. Posts can often be reset or sistered without touching the rest of the fence.

Matched to what is already there

A repair that shouts "repair" is a bad repair. Board profile, height and spacing are matched to the existing run wherever the material still exists.

Everything we build

Privacy fences

Cedar dog-ear, board-on-board and shadow box, built to sit level along an uneven line.

Cedar & wood

Decorative tops, cap and trim, and horizontal styles when the look matters as much as the screening.

Chain link

Straightforward, durable containment for pets, yards and side runs.

Gates

Walk gates and double drive gates hung so they still swing true in a year.

Fence repair

Storm damage, leaning posts, rotted boards and sagging gates — repaired rather than replaced where that is the honest answer.

Decks & siding

The same crew handles decking and siding when the exterior needs more than a fence.

Questions we get asked

Is it cheaper to repair or replace a fence?

If the posts are sound, repair is usually far cheaper. If the posts are rotting, repairs get spent twice. The post condition is the thing worth checking before deciding.

Can you repair storm damage quickly?

We prioritise runs that have opened up a yard, because those are the ones with a dog or a child on the wrong side of the problem. Call and say so when you ring.

Do you repair fences you did not install?

Yes, that is most of the repair work we do.
